CMS Announces MSPRP Web Portal Is Now Open
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently announced the opening of its Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Portal (MSPRP). The Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Contractor (MSPRC) has indicated that this new portal will assist with the resolution of Liability, No Fault and Workers' Compensation Medicare Set Aside recovery cases and accelerate the approval process.

The New Workers' Compensation Review Contractor Has Started
The New Workers' Compensation Review Contractor (WCRC) for Medicare Set Asides (MSAs) has commenced their work on July 2, 2012. Provider Resources, Inc. will now be the designated contractor for approval of all MSAs. The new phone number is 1-(855) 280-3550. Within the statement of work outlined by CMS, the company will act in the primary role of the CMS Workers' Compensation Review Contractor (WCRC). The company will be acting as an impartial entity, evaluate Workers Compensation Medicare Set Aside (WCMSA) proposals, and independently project the future medical costs related to the Workers' Compensation injury, illness, or disease. We are looking forward to working with Provider Resources to improve and enhance the Medicare Set Aside approval times for our clients.
