CMS Announces Data Transparency and Technical Alerts

On May 5, 2016, the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced a program to release updated data to increase transparency in the Medicare program. CMS posted utilization and payment public use data for researchers.

Additionally on May 23, 2016, CMS provided a technical alert for a list of International Codes of Diseases (ICD) that will be excluded for Mandatory Insurer Reporting for Non Group Health Plans as of January 02, 2017. For the announcement and list, please click here >>
