Louisiana Medical Equipment Company Owner Pleads Guilty in $21 Million Fraud Scheme of False Claims and Illegal Kickback Payments

An owner of multiple Baton Rouge medical equipment companies pleaded guilty on February 3, 2012 for her role in a Medicare fraud scheme involving false claims and illegal kickback payments for unnecessary durable medical equipment (DME), announced the Department of Justice, the FBI, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and the Louisiana State Attorney General’s Office.
